LETTER TO THE EDITOR

14 NOVEMBER 2014

To,
The Editor,
Mr Shawn Chandran

Dear Sir,

Re: Spreading Mass Awareness About Dangers of Using a Cell                Phone While Driving.

Through your esteemed newspaper,we are pleased and honoured to express our views on increasing threats of using a cell phones while driving. We are ungraduate students of Unitar International University in Johor Bahru,Malaysia. In an unfortunate incident, exactly one month ago,we lost one of our classmates,Nisha Nair(20),in a tragic accident as reported by the police officals has been negligent driving. It is mentioned in the report that Nisha was concentrated talking on cell phones and she eventually lost her control, bumping into a huge cargo truck.

Her sudden demise has left us in inexplicable pain.As a tribute to our love for Nisha,we have started a campaign to spread awareness about accidents related to cell phones and driving. Moreover, cell phones usage while driving has been rated to be far more dangerous than drunk driving, which highlight the dangers of using cell phones when we are commuting from one destination to the other.

So,we kindly request your newspaper team to provide us media courage so that our campaign and the idea behind it can get recognition, thereby spreading more awareness about cell phones use in cars and its dangerous.

Your Sincerely,
Deneswary Latchmanan(student),
Unitar International University,
Johor Bahru,Darul Takzim.
